Earth Day Celebration
Earhart celebrated Earth Day in many ways. To start off, the entire school gathered in the gym for an assembly. We sang songs, had a fashion show, and heard Haiku poems written by students. After the assembly, classes participated in centers that involved getting outside and being kind to the Earth. At the end of the day, students enjoyed Earth Day Birthday cake made by Earhart families.

Recycling Assembly
Earhart was lucky to have Mr. Slaughter, an environmental guest, on recycling. Mr. Slaughter is from Kansas City and he travels to schools teaching about the environment through music. The first recycling assembly was geared toward grades K-2 and the second assembly was geared toward grades 3-5. We sang some great environmental songs and learned a lot about acting now to save the Earth!

Zoo Safari Adventure Day 2007
The Kindergarten through Third grade classrooms participated in the Zoo Safari Adventure Day on Friday, October 5. The classes rotated through centers related to wildlife and culture.
